24 HOURS A DAY, 365 DAYS A YEAR
Created in 1969, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is available for immediate placement of youth from birth through 17, who have been or are at risk of being abused, neglected or abandoned. Child haven’s shelter is the largest in the state. It is licensed to care for 32 children, ranging in age from birth to 17 years. This is significant in our ability to accept sibling group placements, who might be split up if placed elsewhere. Children in our care are provided with:
Food
Clothing
Medical attention
Educational assistance
Transportation and recreational activities to all clients
Trauma screenings
Referrals for therapy as needed
Annually, our shelter provides over 4,000 nights of care to over 150 children in need.

100% of donations go directly to those in need.
